Making Sense of it all

Sense-Making

Looking Beyond the System

We invite you to look beyond the system – the formal and structured designing, planning and programming – to the complex processes of human relating in our ordinary, everyday work – in our communications, our relating with each other that enables and constrains and the valuing and norming we use to make decisions. How do we operate in our personal and professional worlds when everything has been planned to the nth degree? How do we talk with each other?

Sense-Making in Our Work

We invite you to look beyond problem-solving, to how we work to make sense of our individual and organizational world. We listen for the stories that make sense of our times. We ask how we share and live out those narratives. More and more people have become concerned about how we talk with each other – do we talk about each other, about things? Or do we talk with each other, learning to find our way about in our present, felt, lived, bodied experience?

Uncomplicate your work by embracing complexity

Consider more of the latter – “with-ness conversation,” in which we speak with each other as if we are alive and not flat, dry, two-dimensional objects, problems to be analyzed, categorized, solved and otherwise manipulated. We speak subject to subject. How would that look, sound and feel in our work day?
